72-year-old woman’s reaction to seeing the ocean for the first is so wholesome

Most often we take little things in life for granted. But for a 72-year-old mom, feeling the ocean under her feet for the first time became the most memorable moment of her life.

The viral video beautifully captures the child-like glee in the old woman when she gets to finally live her dream.

Mom sees the ocean for the first time

Isa, 72, of Argentina, was taken to the ocean by her family for the first time. According to the New York Post, she spent her life raising 10 children.

One of her family members guides her to the beach shore with their hands covering her eyes. They stop a few feet away from the water as he uncovers her eyes to reveal the ocean before her.

Isa first screams in excitement before covering her face to let out a cry of joy. She couldn’t believe her eyes.

In another video, the mom is in a swimsuit, a few feet inside the water, joking about having a “handsome lifeguard” sent to her. You can see her laugh wholeheartedly each time a wave touches her.

The woman’s reaction has turned TikTok users emotional and filled them with gratitude for life.

“Finally a Great Uplifting Story and glad She got to see the ocean for the 1st time in all of her Life,” wrote one.

“I’m excited just seeing her excited,” said another.

A third user added: “Just think about all the things in life people take for granted! This is probably silly to someone whos been going to the beach all their lives.”

When a 100-year-old was taken to the beach

Like Isa, many around the world have never had the experience of going to the beach – the 100-year-old Ruby Holt is one of them.

In 2014, Ruby made headlines when she got to see the ocean for the first time in her life.

She dedicated her life to working on a farm and raising four children, so finding herself by the beach was only a far-fetched dream.

However, the assisted living facility that was taking care of her at the time decided to make her wish come true with the help of the NGO Wish of a Lifetime – an organization that grants wishes for seniors.

Ruby was taken to the Gulf of Mexico where she used an electric wheelchair on Perdido Beach to get close to the water.

Before going to the beach, for the first time, the elderly lady told BBC News: “I’ve heard people talk about it and how wonderful it was and wanted to see it, but I never had the opportunity to do so.”
