Woman finds egg ‘triple regular size’ after hearing her chicken screaming

A woman and her boyfriend were completely taken aback after they heard their chicken screaming and soon discovered an egg triple the size of a normal one.

Social media apps like Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok are good for many things, but hilarious stories are by far the best. This one involves a chicken, an egg, and one very confused owner

What came first, The chicken, or the enormous egg?

Kaitlyn took to Twitter on Valentines Day where she posted a picture that has since garnered over 265k likes, 15k retweets, and 3.2k comments.

One of our chickens was literally screaming this morning so I went out there and found this& I am not even kidding you this is triple the size of a normal chicken egg. This cant be normal help, she wrote. My bf and I bursted out laughing because we could not believe our eyes LMAO.

The picture showed the egg in question alongside normal eggs, with its size quite noticeably different.

Kaitlyn added: Guys the chicken wasnt actually screaming like a human&. Chickens always make noise when theyre laying eggs. She was just making extra loud noise while laying this egg.

According to the Guinness World Records, the biggest chicken egg ever recorded weighed a staggering 454g, the weight of a small dumbbell. Its not immediately clear how much Kaitlyns weighed.

Twitter was in shock and had some ideas

Though the rest of social media was taken back by the size, most people replied with the platforms usual brand of snarky comedy.

One person said: Is it possible she’s been having an affair with an ostrich.

Well, at least the chicken was able to pass the egg and didnt end up egg bound, someone else said, while a third added, I cant imagine the amount of relief she must have felt after dropping this one.

It looks like a double egg. Not a double yoked egg but literally an egg inside an egg. Extremely rare, weve never had one on the farm but Ive heard of them. Im curious to see what happens when you crack it, another person said.
