Veruca Salt’s agonizing TikTok videos
After announcing her baby’s death in an Instagram statement, the TikTok star, whose real name is Kimberley Summer Hartley, posted a devastating video expressing her suffering.
She recalled the moment doctors told her there was nothing else they could do for Cash, and is staring into the distance in tears.
“I knew he was dead but there was a part of me that really thought they were gonna wake him up,” she wrote in the caption.
Hartley then shared another video using lyrics from Hozier’s track Work Song, which says: “No grave can hold my body down/ I’ll crawl home to him.”
It begins with a clip of her staring into the distance again, followed by a heart-wrenching video of Cash lying on a play mat.
She also shared her favorite memory of the newborn in a third video, when he would “sink down and look like a little soup dumpling”.
Fans are sharing their condolences in the comments, with one person writing: “I haven’t stopped thinking about you Veruca. My heart is breaking for you I’m so so sorry.”
“I’ve never cried harder for a woman I don’t know, I’m so sorry Veruca. The love you have for him never goes unnoticed,” said another.
A third fan added: “Nothing we can say will fill the void but hopefully you can find comfort in the fact he only knew love.”
Sympathy poured in after Australian-based influencer revealed the news on Instagram, saying: “It is with a heavy heart that Im writing this.”
“I dont know what happened, he is having an autopsy this week but it is unlikely that Ill ever have an answer,” she continued.
TikTok star claps back at nasty comments
Kimberley has also clapped back at people telling her she should not be posting TikTok videos after her son passed away.
The 25-year-old slammed people saying that’s not how they would act, saying: “You have no idea because your baby is not dead.”
“It’s not happening to you, and if it was happening to you, you would know that bed is the last place you want to be,” she continued.
Hartley explained that going to bed is the worst thing because every time she wakes up, she “forgets” and goes to see her baby.
She added that she is sleeping in somebody else’s house and doesn’t want to go home because there are reminders of Cash everywhere.
“You have no idea the things that have gone on in my head every five seconds. I feel insane. I feel crazy, and you don’t get it.”
