Bali street covered with huge dangling spiders will make you think twice about vacation

Yes, the viral video capturing a natural yet rare occurrence does show hundreds, if not thousands of spiders dangling from their web in an infested street, but that shouldn’t stop you from planning your next vacation in Bali.

The rare footage with over 42 million views prompted people to reconsider their holidays in Bali at once, but the UK woman who saw the spiders firsthand confirmed that only one of the regions was infested, hence she was able to survive the experience as an arachnophobe herself.

Terrifying video of a spider-infested Bali street sends chills

A woman named Grace from the UK was traveling Bali, when she came across a street lined with spiders dangling from their web.

Her video zooms in to show countless spiders of different sizes surrounding her, some as big as a wristwatch – Grace places a watch next to one of the spiders to draw comparison.

Her caption reads: “Welcome to hell on earth. (don’t actually let this put you off Bali I think this is some kind of natural phenomenon and not very common – and was not in a popular location).”

The tourist also calls it the “worst thing you’ll see in Bali! Hand down.” Soon her video on TikTok was flooded with comments by terrified users as they found the rare sight to be off-putting.

“Looks like I am never going to Bali,” says one.

And another added: “would never recover if I walked into that”

“Just the first picture is enough for me to NEVER go to Bali or any country surrounding it ever,” a third user said.

Don’t let the viral video stop you from vacationing

Although it was in Bali that a street was infested with spiders, Grace and several others who have traveled the place have assured that it isn’t a factor to worry about excessively.

The UK tourist clarified in the following video that she’s been in Bali for over 11 days and had spotted less than five spiders in total. The infested street was in a region she drove past while traveling from one point to another.

“You’d be really unlikely to come across that, it was in a tiny town on the drive from Ubud to Mount Batur,” she explained, before claiming that the spiders weren’t poisonous.

The TikToker added: “It’s about an hour and a half drive, I spotted it from the car window and asked the guide to turn around because I just couldn’t believe what I had seen.”
