Viral milk prank targets Veronica Burgess and friends on GoBoat
The incident reportedly took place on Saturday, January 27, 2023, around 12:45 P.M. when Veronica and her friends were on a picnic boat on the Yarra River.
The TikTok user and three of her friends were passing under the Evan Walker Bridge when an entire bottle of milk was poured over them from atop.
The video on Varonica’s profile shows all of their belongings, food, and the passengers themselves covered in milk after falling prey to the prank.
The text on the video reads: “POV: You book a Go Boat for your friend’s birthday and some kid on the bridge above us pours a whole bottle of milk on us for fun.”
The teenager called the women on the boat to ask if they wanted “some milk”, before leaning forward to empty the entire bottle on them, despite the passengers urging him not to.
It appears as if Veronica wasn’t aware of the identity of the kid when she posted the video as she wrote in her caption: “Would love to find the kid that ruined our day :)”
But Go Boat reportedly offered them credit for another day as the “mean prank” ended up ruining the birthday celebrations they were excited about.
Melbourne teen says video ‘ruined his life’
The teenager behind the prank reportedly took to TikTok to hit back at the haters for criticizing him over the prank, while the police are investigating the incident, reports Daily Mail.
The report claims that Victoria police are urging the witnessing to come forward and report the incident to the authorities. “It is believed people in other vessels may have been subject to the same or similar behavior,” the statement reads.
The prankster, however, believes the complaint against his actions had “gone too far” and that he’s facing the possibilities of getting expelled from his school.
In the video since deleted, the boy reportedly said: “Please stop contacting my school, my school has caught me and I am facing expulsion. Can’t believe you would do this to a minor.”
He tagged Veronica in his video and said the footage capturing the prank shouldn’t have been shared online, as the backlash it drew has majorly impacted his life.
“Why’d you do this to me. You ruined my life over a ruined day, you upped the anti, I’m just a kid and you ruined my life. Too far.”
Daily Mail further reports that the original prank footage was posted by the teenager to his social media accounts, but it has been since taken down.
