The very common habit that will shatter your marriage, according to Judge Judy
TVs renowned Judge Judy explained the one simple habit that would kill your marriage, and its something a lot of spouses undoubtedly do.
What makes a good marriage is a question as old as the concept itself, with each person having their own unique opinion on the subject. Still, most fail as experts predict that 41% of all marriages end in divorce. They might be doing this habit Judge Judy warns again.

Judge Judy shares her wisdom
Judy Sheindlin, known professionally as Judge Judy, is an actual lawyer, despite conspiracy theories. She passed the bar examination in 1965 and worked as a corporate lawyer for a cosmetics firm. Judy later acted as a family court prosecutor on cases involving child abuse, and domestic violence, before making the jump to full-fledged judge.
In a recent interview with E! News, after years of presiding over spouse-related cases, the Judge shared the very simple habit that sees most marriages fail.
She explained: “You don’t spend 24 hours together because that’s deadly. Jerry just celebrated his 90th birthday, and I still like to look at him when he walks in the room. That’s a key.”
Is Judge Judy married?
Her words did not come from the air, but from experience, as Judge Judy has a very successful marriage of her own.
The 81-year-old Judge married her first husband, Ronald Levy, in 1964. Unfortunately, they divorced in 1976, with Judy later admitting it was mostly his fault.
She told FOX News that “he always viewed my job as a hobby. And there came a time where I resented that.”

Judy then married defence attorney Jerry Sheindlin in 1977. But that relationship also had its issues, and they even separated for a time. Following the death of her father, Judy insisted on Jerry taking care of her, something he struggled to do.
“I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable, and he wasn’t being unreasonable saying that he really didn’t know how to do that. He was 55 and had lived a certain way all his life. He couldn’t even conceptualize taking over that role. He just couldn’t, she said in her documentary.
Despite divorcing over the spat, the two recoupled just a year later and were married again. They have five children between them, and 13 grandchildren.
