Cruel Lovely Peaches death hoax floods TikTok, and it’s not the first time
Videos claiming that TikTok star Lovely Peaches has died are flooding TikTok this week, but it’s all a hoax.
The internet user is alive and well and the whole thing is fake news – and it’s not the first time it’s happened.

Lovely Peaches death hoax
The hoax emerged on Thursday (January 25), when posts about the TikTok star’s death began flooding TikTok and Twitter/X.
“Internet star Lovely Peaches found dead in apartment at 22,” one viral headline from a fake news site says.
The hoax quickly spread across the platform and fooled fans, with one person writing: “I just woke up from a nap and Lovely Peaches is dead?”
“I’m in class right not finding out Lovely Peaches died,” said another, while a third added: “Can’t believe Lovely Peaches is dead.”
Influencer is not dead
However, the whole thing is fake news and nothing has happened to the Louisiana native, whose real name is Brittany Johnson.
The influencer has been active on her Instagram account @lovelypeachespopsinger100 multiple times in the last 24 hours. She has shared videos of herself on Stories, posted about her brand new EP Love Is a Waste of Time and even gone Live, so the star is alive and well as of January 2024.
The 23-year-old went viral on TikTok in 2019 after sharing a song about her genitals called Burnin’ ‘N’ Itchin. She then became known for posting controversial and often disturbing content, and has been banned multiple times.
Peaches is also an aspiring singer and her Instagram bio says: “Looking 2 Get Signed Labels Please Email Me.”
It’s not the first time
This isn’t the first time Lovely Peaches has fallen victim to a cruel death hoax, and it probably won’t be the last.
Videos claiming Peaches passed away first emerged in May 2020, leaving TikTok users concerned. It then happened again in May 2023.
Every time, the same fake news articles alleging that the star has died circle the internet and people are fooled by the phony posts.
“Glad shes okay idk why people say she died every year& its weird,” one person commented on her Instagram.
Another said: “The people claiming you died are so weird like why wish that upon anyone??”
Let’s leave Peaches alone now!
