7 best cereal combinations, because mixing cereal isn’t weird

The art of cooking and food preparation is all about mixing ingredients together to create a whole new world of tastes and textures – but one area that many refuse to compromise in is that of cereals as mixing two breakfast favorites together would be considered sacrilege by some.

Even here at The Focus, only a 33% minority of our staff – this writer included – have admitted to mixing cereals in the past. However, combining cereals can be a great way of mixing up your morning mealtime, especially if youve grown bored of eating the same old cereal every day or if youve reached the last handful of one box and decide to mix it with another type of cereal to avoid having a bowl full of soggy crumbs, which is the last thing anybody wants.

1. Cheerios and Frosted Flakes

The combination of crunchy and savory-ish Cheerios with crisp, sugar-coated frosted flakes is a surefire breakfast winner.

You could even add some extra sweetness by swapping out ordinary Cheerios for some of the Honey Nut variety.

3. Cocoa Pebbles and Reeses Puffs

If youre looking for a cereal mix that is pure sugar in a bowl then look no further than the chocolate and peanut butter combo of Cocoa Pebbles and Reeses Puffs.

4. Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms

Food experts often say that your meals should be vibrant and colorful – although thats usually through the inclusion of plenty of fruit and veg.

Mixing Fruit Loops and Lucky Charms will certainly turn your morning cereal into an explosion of color, although we cant speak to how healthy this option would be.

6. Apple Jacks and Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Apple and cinnamon is a flavor combo that is widely used in desserts, particularly apple pie, making a mixture of Apple Jacks and Cinnamon Toast Crunch a complete no-brainer.

7. Peanut Capn Crunch and Apple Jacks

And finally, we come to a cereal combination nicknamed Capn Jacks by Grain Foods Foundation. The Pirates of the Caribbean-themed cereal blend mixes the complimentary flavors of Peanut Capn Crunch with Apple Jacks for a bowl thats as wild as Captain Jack Sparrow himself.
