Gyat
Gyat is the acronym for, Girl, your a*s is thicc. While the pronunciation differs slightly from person to person, typically speaking its pronounced the same as Fiat. Gyat is often posted under pictures of people like Kim Kardashian, which could give you a sense of what qualifies.
Ate
Ate is one of many modern slang terms to have risen out of LGBTQ+ culture, and more specifically, ballroom culture. Essentially, it means that someone has done something worthy of praise.

As the word would suggest, being salty is typically being angry, upset or hostile. This is often a result of embarrassment.

While the exact origin of cap is relatively unknown, it is believed to have come from US Hip Hop culture. Basically, cap means lie, and so, no cap means truth.
For instance, “He’s capping” would mean, Hes lying.
Dragged/Drag
Like the verb, saying someone was dragged suggests they were humiliated or pulled through the bushes, so to speak.

While the term can be used in several ways, the most popular seems to be when agreeing with something.
Periodt
This comes from the punctuation period/full stop. Essentially, it means final. Nothing else is to be said about the situation.
For instance: New Years resolutions are pointless. Periodt.
Shade
Shade is another term to come out of Queer ballroom culture and is now prevalent through much of popular culture thanks to shows like RuPauls Drag Race. Shade is a casual slight against someone, often without the person realising they have been insulted.
Moreover, throwing shade is the act of insulting someone.
Zygote
Despite being a real-world biology term, the slang version of Zygote is described as something or someone very very young.
The official definition of a Zygote is: a diploid cell resulting from the fusion of two haploid gametes; a fertilized ovum.
Rizz
Short for Charisma, Rizz is used to describe someone who is charismatic and charming. You either have it, or you dont.

If someone asks for the lore, they are asking for the backstory of a person or situation. It is mostly used when the information is secretive or relatively unknown.

Sus is the abbreviation of “suspicious” or “suspect” on social media.
Fanum Tax
The term was popularised by Twitch streamer Fanum, who would regularly steal food from his friends under the guise of it being his tax. The term is now used by people wanting to take food from their friends without argument.
Era
TikTok has seen the rise of just about every Era you could imagine. Typically speaking, there is usually a word before era that describes the state of mind or position the person is in.
For example, if you do something particularly cruel or nasty you could say: Im in my villain era.
Zaddy
If you spend a lot of time on social media then you might see older men being referred to as daddy. Essentially, its a particularly attractive older man. Zaddy goes one step further and is used to describe a man who is attractive, fashionable or particularly charismatic. Its also less dependent on age.
