Subway Sidekicks looks good

The new, 12-inch-long snacks, are a chocolate chip cookie, a Cinnabon churro and an Auntie Annes pretzel. According to the popular snack page Snackalator, they are priced at $2, $3, and $5, respectively.

The introduction of Sidekicks builds on six decades of equity and expertise in all things footlong, said Doug Fry, president of Subway North America, in a press release. This whole new category on our menu offers Subway fans something they cant get anywhere else and kicks off a year of culinary innovation and delicious new menu items.

He further told Today that the brand launched Sidekicks to give customers other reasons to visit outside traditional mealtimes.

I would say we were expecting folks to come in and grab these as snacks. What weve seen though, is that folks are adding them on to their footlong sandwich orders to kind of complete their meal, which is pretty cool, he added.

Its not looking good for the Subway Sidekick

Despite launching on January 22, the sidekicks are allegedly popping up across the US already, with some stating their local branch has had them for weeks.

Unfortunately, they have received mixed reviews so far, as one person confessed, The Churros dont have any flavor.

I thought the launch day was today and I got the churro which was stale and flavorless, another person said, while a third argued, Work at subway and the churro and the pretzels are nasty af. And the cookie is literally diabetes, 1400 calories for one.

On X, formally known as Twitter, someone scathed: Sidekicks are the biggest ripoff in subway menu.

Other people have said they are worth a shot, as someone argued on Instagram: The pretzel is so good if you have cheese for it.

The cookie is good asf but yall should put it in your oven if you dont like your cookies halfway cooked, someone else suggested.
