‘You look easy to draw’ is everyone’s favorite insult and it comes from a funny tweet
Internet users are insulting each other with the line ‘You look easy to draw’ and it’s the funniest slander ever.
The phrase is flooding Twitter/X and TikTok in 2024, but it’s actually been circling the internet for four years.
Funny ‘You look easy to draw’ insult
‘You look easy to draw’ is being used to roast another individual by insinuating that they look basic and boring.
If someone is easy to draw, that means they have simplistic facial features that aren’t very unique or detailed.
“People now use the phrase to describe someone who has no facial features that stand out or simple features,” Urban Dictionary explains.
It’s also used as an insult towards someone who is not very good looking, replacing words like ‘ugly’ and ‘hideous’.
It comes from a viral 2020 tweet
The phrase comes from a 2020 Twitter/X post where a guy posted two pictures of himself next to each other.
Someone replied “U look easy to draw” and he responded “Try,” urging the internet user to actually draw him.
She did exactly as he asked and replied again with a simple but surprisingly accurate drawing of the guy on a piece of lined paper.
The post made internet users laugh at the time, with one person writing “She pretty much nailed it” and another adding: “That’s spot on.”
It’s now a famous meme
It quickly became a meme which has been swirling on social media ever since, and it’s suddenly gone viral again in 2024.
Someone wrote on Twitter/X this week: “Favorite obscure roast has to be ‘you look easy to draw’.”
“‘You look easy to draw’ is always gonna be funny,” said another.
A third person added: “You look easy to draw will forever be a top 5 crack.”
“Fav insult: You look easy to draw,” another internet user agreed.
