Use floor mats to get your car unstuck from snow
Several TikTok users have tried and approved the life hack to free your car’s wheels stuck in the snow by just using floor mats. You don’t even need a shovel.
If the wheels are stuck in the snow, place a mat side-down in front of the wheels in the direction you want to go. Start the engine and hold the gas pedal for the vehicle to go over the floor mats. If your car is a rear-wheel drive, the mats must be placed before the back tires.
You can stop and move the mat a little further each time to inch closer to the path clear of snow.

The hack works on the simple logic of traction, which is created when the mat comes in contact with the tire. This also works to get your car unstuck from ice or sand as the mats offer grip to the tires regardless of what’s underneath.
