5 signs youre ready for a new job, according toa marketing mentor

A TikTok marketing mentor took to the platform to outline just how you know its time to move to a new job.

Being stuck in a dead-end job is the worst. While the security of a monthly or weekly payment is comfortable, the mundane flow of work leaves you feeling unfulfilled and tired. But when do you move on?

Zero motivation is your first sign

Sophie (@marketingmentor) took to the platform at the start of the month in the hopes of inspiring the workforce to make positive changes in their work lives. She argued that the first sign of needing a new job is having zero motivation to get up in the morning and do your role.

Shockingly, statistics from the Motivation Agency suggest that only 15% of employees feel motivated to give work their all.

Are you bored?

Youre finding yourself getting really bored by doing the same things day in, day out, Sophie said is the second clear sign.

So, next time you find yourself playing a card game on the work computer, maybe jump on a job website instead.

The slightest things set you off

Weve all been there when the slightest inconvenience seems like the biggest problem. If you can relate, then Sophie would suggest that its time to move on.

Youre getting a lot more stressed over things that really shouldnt be that annoying, she said.

If youre finding the culture is starting to become really toxic, then its your time to grab your life jacket and jump ship. On what makes a workplace toxic, experts suggest that such environments arise when communication is limited, blame culture is prevalent, and people are rewarded for questionable actions.

Dead end job

One of the worst workplace situations to be in is feeling that, while you love your job, there is no room to move up the ladder. If youre happy where you are, then its absolutely fine. But, if you want progression (or a bigger salary) then go where you can get that.

Many of Sophies followers took to the comment section to talk about her suggestions, with some even offering their own to be added to the list. Suffice it to say the list is getting pretty long!
