Homeowner left ‘scared’ after finding hidden door under staircase of her 250-year-old apartment
A homeowner has gone viral online after sharing that she found a secret stairway and door inside the apartment she recently purchased.�
Erin Cloudy said she bought the 250-year-old apartment recently but only discovered the hidden stairs and doorways afterward.�
In her video, Erin explored the hidden passage with friends after knocking down the drywall that disguised it.�
Finding the secret stairway and doors
In just one day, Erin has gained over 24 million views on her mysterious situation posted to TikTok.�
After purchasing the home, Erin discovered that the wall underneath her stairs wasnt much of a wall at all. Instead, they were able to make an easy hole in it, showing a hidden stairway and doors behind it.
Under the stairs, we knocked it through, explained Erin in the video. Then you look through the hole, it is just a staircase.
She showed the stairway with peeling walls and mess on the floor. The space appeared run down and neglected. However, the bottom of the stairs appeared to have a doorway, with a huge gap underneath.
Erin was clearly scared of what she could see, telling her friends: I have to live here. �
Exploring found even more hidden areas
Erin and her friends knocked down the entirety of the wall and managed to enter the hidden area, as shown in her viral TikTok video. The group managed to sneak underneath the gap in the door to find out what was behind it.
More stairs were behind the door, with another door further down. Although the camera didnt document anything else, one friend could be heard telling Erin that the space was as big as [her] flat down here. �

Since posting her video, Erin has gained over 100,000 followers of TikTok users eager to find out what has happened since the cliffhanger.
TikTok users have also since flooded the comments with messages of speculation and fear, comparing the scene to a horror movie,

One commenter speculated that the doorway likely leads to a pantry, writing: looks like that door (on the right) goes to the kitchen, but it’s been locked and plasterboarded over. I think it’s an old staircase to a pantry for keeping stuff cold
