Cat rescues a family’s dog from vicious coyote attack in incredible home CCTV footage
CCTV footage managed to capture the incredible moment a cat came to rescue the family dog when it was attacked by a coyote.
Our pets happen to be our guardian angels, making sure we are protected no matter what the cost. It so happens that they follow the same rule when it comes to protecting their pet sibling.
Cat comes to the rescue
As seen in the video, Oakley the dog had come out in the backyard when it was attacked by a coyote. While he tried to free himself, another coyote tried to come in and make the situation worse.
Luckily, Binx, the neighborhood cat, was there to protect Oakley. Seeing the video, Oakley’s owner Lane Dyer told an outlet: “I was kind of inspired by it.”
Binx was only two months old when she started showing up at Lane’s house. “[Binx} jumped down and scared them off, it was the craziest thing ever,” he said.
How is the dog doing?
Lane revealed that the the coyotes “cut her open and she was gushing blood, you know, from her chest and her side.” Seeing the scene, they quickly rushed her to Neel Veterinary Hospital.
There, the doctors stitched her up and her leg was put in a splint. Seeing her condition, the veterinarians told the family that Oakley might have to get her leg amputated.
Luckily, she healed naturally and avoided amputation. Now, she is all good and ready to take over the world.
