Dunkin’ Donuts bids goodbye to a line of refreshers

Less than three years after its introduction to the menu, Dunkin’ Donuts recently announced that it was discontinuing coconut milk, which means, customers will also say goodbye to the Coconut Refreshers that were introduced in 2021.

Back in April 2021, the Coconut Refreshers, which came in pink strawberry, golden peach, and purple pomegranate flavors, were introduced along with Coconut milk Iced Latte. These new drinks gave dairy-free customers another option to choose from.

However, in December 2023, Dunkin’ Donuts confirmed that coconut milk will no longer be offered.

Social media reacts to the new change

People on social media are not afraid to express their thoughts on Dunkin’ Donuts’ decision as many took to platforms like Reddit, TikTok, and more to share their opinion.

One user wrote: “Given that this means that Coconut Refreshers will also be discontinued, no, this is not alright.” Another added: “Unfortunately coconut milk was the only unsweetened non-dairy option so this is very aggravating.”

“Our refreshers are going to be just green tea, which sucks. On top of that, the coconut milk was the only milk option that was sugar-free,” read one more comment. “If theyre removing coconut milk then they really should make the other milks unsweetened. the swirls are already sweet and some people cant consume as much sugar with their coffees,” wrote a user. “The amount of sadness I feel about this is unreal. I ordered coconut refreshers two or three times a week because its just about the only thing on the menu I can drink,” expressed one more.
