Burger King employee Kevin Ford enjoys the last laugh following ‘cup and backpack’ reward for 27 years of service

Kevin Ford, the Burger King employee who was snubbed after 27-years of long work, has bought his first home after a fundraiser raised $440,000.�

In June of 2022, Kevin went viral on TikTok after her revealed what his employer had given him to say thank you for never calling in sick in over 25-years of work. The contents included cheap pens and a Starbucks cup, sparking public uproar which cumulated in a fundraiser started by his daughter.�

Kevin Ford has put the money to good use

Last year, Kevin saw public recognition after being given a goodie bag containing measly items like a movie ticket, a bag of candy, a coffee tumbler, a lanyard, and some pens.�

His story resonated with fans so much that they donated a massive amount of money to his GoFundMe.�

My dad continues to work there, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement, his daughter, Seryna, wrote on the fundraiser.�

Using $177,000, Kevin purchased his first home in Pahrump, Nevada, and now plans to give another chunk to his daughter so she can do the same. 

As reported in the Mail Online, Kevins new digs include two storage sheds and stunning mountain views. Using a portion of his funds, he also plans to renovate the property.�

Taking his followers on a tour of his new pad, the grandfather said:� Now I know it needs some work, gonna cut off the haters already, I know its not a mansion… but it’s mine.

I want to thank everyone all around the world for what you’ve done for me, something I never thought would be possible for me – home ownership. Now my kids and my grandkids have some place to come visit me… It’s a Christmas miracle.
