Wally the alligator is TikTok’s favorite ‘licensed emotional support animal’

A TikTok user has caught the attention of many after he introduced an alligator as his licensed emotional support animal’.

Emotional support animals have helped people with emotional, mental, or physical disabilities feel comfortable and confident. People are usually used to dogs or cats playing this role. However, a TikTok user shocked everyone when he introduced an alligator as his support animal.

Meet Wally, the licensed emotional support animal

Joseph Henney, the owner of Wally, has spoken highly of how his alligator pet changed his life completely. As per reports, Jospeph went into depression after he lost three family members and four lifelong friends in two weeks. The doctors were ready to prescribe him anti-depressant pills, but he was not too keen on taking them.

It is during this time that an animal rescuerfriend of his brought in a baby alligator. Given that Joseph had experience with raising farm animals, he was more than happy to take care of the tiny creature. Little did he know that the alligator, whom he named Wally, was going to change his life.

A couple of days later, Joseph visited the doctor and he was able to spot a drastic change in the behavior. Joseph pointed out how Wally helped him feel playful and lively once again. The two would often go on walks, play hide and seek, and many more. Hearing this, the doctor helped Joseph register Wally as an emotional support animal.

He is now a social media personality

People from all over the world come to see Wally as they are amazed by his ability to sense people’s emotions. To add to this, Wally loves to hug everyone, making him one of the most favorite emotional animals users have seen on social media.

To ensure that people from different parts of the world can enjoy Wally’s shenanigans, Joseph has made a social media profile for him. He goes by @wallygatornjoie on Instagram and @wallythealligator on TikTok.
