Man tells grizzly bear ‘stalking him’ to back off in a surprisingly funny video
An encounter with wild animals is everybody’s worst fear, but a man seems to have nailed the rather frightening situation by telling a grizzly bear that was pursuing him to back off in a scary-yet-hilarious video.
This may not be as terrifying as the wildest videos of bears caught on camera that we have compiled for you, but the viral TikTok may still make you think twice about going on a solo run in the woods.

Man tells grizzly bear pursuing him to back off
The viral video on TikTok has received a lot of attention owing to the bear’s funny behavior towards the man who thought it was “stalking him”.
The subject of the video was on a run in the woods in a snowy region when he stopped to film the wild animal that was supposedly pursuing him.
He seems to have come prepared for such a situation as he’s seen carrying bear spray on him. He also appears to have parked his car close to the place he set out for a run.

The person in the video is breathing heavily as he says he was out jogging when he realized he was “being watched.” He then points the camera to show a grizzly bear standing at a distance.
A few seconds into the clip, the bear starts to walk in his direction and the man repeatedly tells the bear to “stay back.” Unsurprisingly, it didn’t listen and continued to walk towards the man, who said: “I don’t care if you’re hungry. I’m not your food.”
He reveals he was about half a mile away from his car and could still make it to his vehicle despite the bear approaching him.
The bear turns around at one point and the man breathes a sigh of relief, thinking it had lost interest in pursuing him. But, that was only momentary.
Man laughs at his encounter with the wild animal
It was the first time the unidentified person had been run up by a bear, but it wasn’t as terrifying as he had imagined it to be.
He found it to be “exciting” until he saw the bear walk back in his direction, prompting him to get closer to his car.
He was convinced the bear was “following him” but wasn’t afraid anymore as he stood about a quarter mile from his car. He even held a bear spray in his hand that he didn’t wish to use on the animal.
The person in the video, on seeing the pace at which the bear was walking, jokes that the bear “doesn’t seem all that hungry.” No sooner, the animal makes a deviation and runs into the wood. Perhaps it found a more easily approachable prey? Or some think it was only waiting for him to get into his car to show up from the other end.
The man then bids the wild animal goodbye before the video concludes.
TikTok users are terrified
Not everybody would be able to treat the encounter with the grizzly bear as calmly as the man in the video, and just the thought of being in his shoes has left many terrified about going on a solo run in the woods.
“Im not going anywhere that requires me to carry bear spray,” said one.
Another added: “Exciting you say? Id be terrified. Good job keeping your cool.”
“Im not going outside without a sidearm if Iived where there are any chances Im going to encounter a bear,” wrote a third user when someone joked: “Twist. The bear pops in front of you.”
