5 ‘worst places’ to take a girl on first date

Dating coach Gracie has revealed the five places you should avoid taking a lady when meeting for the first time if you want it to lead to a second date.

You would be surprised to know that most places men think are ideal for the first date are on the list.

She says pro sporting events should never be your choice for the first date as you wouldn’t want to spend hours in a row with someone you have just met should the date not go well.

Although movies are most daters’ go-to option for the first date, Gracie advises against them as they require both parties to “sit in silence” when they can get to know each other instead.

No matter how nervous you are about meeting someone, never bring them to a group setting, especially when your friends are involved.

“Group settings will take the attention off of you two getting to know each other and make it almost impossible for you two to build a romantic connection,” warns the dating coach.

Want to avoid unnecessary pressure on the first date? Don’t pick a fancy restaurant for a fancy dining experience. She also believes inviting the girl to your place on the first home isn’t the right move regardless of your intentions.

“It’s always better to meet somewhere in public for a first date; especially if you’ve never met before,” she says.

5 ‘best places’ for a first date

In a different TikTok video, she discusses five “best places” to take a girl on the first date to help you make the right choice.

  • Coffee or drinks – Both “causal” options wouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket. It allows you to have a good conversation to get to know each other.
  • Setting up a picnic – If you’re looking for a more romantic setup, Gracie recommends setting up a picnic with a cozy blanket, a wine bottle, and a little pre-made charcuterie board.
  • Go on a walk – A common first date practice among Germans, that allows two people to get to know each other in a “low-pressure environment”.
  • Mini golf – If keeping up with the conversation for an entire date is frightening, mini golf can act as a “buffer” between the dialogues.
  • Food truck dates – As Gracie says, nothing feels better than connecting over some amazing food as long as you know the best food trucks in your area.
