Dogs sit at New York dinner table on ‘perfect date’ with ‘better manners than most people’
Imagine sitting down at a restaurant and seeing two dogs on a date next to you. Well, that’s what happened to this lady.
She has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a video of the adorable pooches, who are better behaved than most adults!

In the clip, two white poodles are sitting on a wooden chair at a restaurant table while their owner, a man with long grey hair, sits opposite them.
The dogs are impressively well-behaved, not moving as the owner tucks into a beer and a portion of bread.
He reaches over to give them a piece of the food and they munch it nicely, remaining in exactly the same position.
“I can’t stop staring at the date sitting across from me,” the woman wrote on the screen. “They’re so polite.”
She added Michael Bubl�’s cover of Nat King Cole’s L.O.V.E for extra effect, singing: “L is for the way you look at me/ O is for the only one I see.”
“V is very, very extraordinary/ E is even more than anyone that you adore can,” it continues – and the lyrics perfectly describe the cute duo.
People think it’s the ‘perfect date’
In the comments, TikTok users are calling it the “perfect date”.
One person wrote: “When they ask me to explain my perfect date cc this video.”
“Can we judge? Its the perfect date,” said another.
A third added: “The only love we need in this life ladies.”
“I just saw my future in 30 years,” someone else wrote.
Others are very impressed with their behavior, saying the dogs have “better manners than most people”.
‘I wish Florida would become this dog friendly’
Many are wishing their state was as dog-friendly as New York is, although dogs can’t actually go into restaurants in the city.
The official New York government website states that dogs are not allowed inside restaurants unless they are service animals, to “prevent unsanitary conditions that can cause a food safety issue”.
Restaurants can allow dogs in outdoor areas, but are not required to do so. The rules state that dogs must be on a leash and may not eat at the table, although some places may not enforce this.
Dogs are also not allowed to be served using dishes or utensils that are intended for customers, only able to eat or drink from “single-use, disposable containers provided by the restaurant”.
So, New York isn’t actually as dog-friendly as it looks. A report by SafeWise reveals the most pet-friendly state is Indiana, followed by Tennessee, North Carolina and Nevada.
Bottom of the list is New Mexico, below Montana, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa and Wyoming.
